Three Randolph middle school teachers win Buzzing BEE awards

The Buzzing BEE (Beginning Educator Excelling) Award recognizes excellence in education of women educators who are in their first, second or third year of teaching. 

Recipients are nominated by their principal. All three recipients for the first semester of the 2025-26 school year are middle school teachers. 

The Beginning Teacher Committee of the Alpha Upsilon is a chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

In the left photo, Barbara Childers (left), Chairperson of The Beginning Teacher Committee for Alpha Upsilon, presents The Buzzing BEE award to Madison Triplett, who teaches 8th grade math and social studies at Trinity Middle School. 

In the middle photo, Megan Millikan, left, who teaches 7th grade ELA and social studies at Randleman Middle School, receives her award from Vanessa Brooks, right, a member of The Beginning Teacher Committee of Alpha Upsilon. 

And then on the right, Leah Porter, an Exceptional Children’s teacher at Wheatmore Middle School, receives her award from Childers.
