Sheila Marie Boone Wigington

ASHEBORO — Sheila Marie Boone Wigington, age 65, of Asheboro, passed away on Jan. 29, 2024. 

 

She was born Jan. 22, 1959, in Aiken, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Alvie Jason Boone and Evelyn Lou Kiser Boone. 

 

Also preceding her in death are her brother, Christian Moreau; sister, Rhonda Hutchens; and sister-in-law, Nancy Boone.

 

Throughout her life, Sheila touched the hearts of many with her inspiring spirit.

 

She graduated from Asheboro High School in 1977 and furthered her education at Randolph Technical College. Sheila began a rewarding career spanning 17 years at Asheboro Dry Cleaners where she exemplified hard work.

 

As a mother and Cub Scout leader for her son's group, she found joy in nurturing and fostering her son’s growth. Whether it was spending time at the beach or leisurely soaking up the sun's rays, Sheila cherished moments of tranquility and relaxation. She had a fondness for the timeless music of The Beatles, finding solace and inspiration in their melodies.

 

Above all, Sheila's heart overflowed with love and adoration for her grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Terry Dean Wigington; sons, Jeremy Wigington and Matthew Wigington; grandchildren, Seth, Elissa, Emor and Mason Wigington; brother, Dan Boone; daughter-in-law, Nancy Wigington; and numerous other beloved nieces, nephews, and beloved family and friends.

 

A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 9, at the Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service Chapel at 2 p.m.
