Helen Goins Kluttz

ASHEBORO — Helen Elizabeth Goins Kluttz, 92, of Asheboro, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

 

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member, with Rev. O. Ralph Kraft officiating.

 

Born on Jan. 13, 1930, in Davidson County, Helen was the daughter of the late Albert Henry Goins and Vernie Estelle Vuncannon Goins.

 

She retired from Averett College. She loved her family, her church family, and enjoyed her bridge clubs and gathering with friends at her town home complex. She loved to watch and talk about Kansas State Women’s Basketball.

 

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Wesley Kluttz; and sisters, Margaret Eller and Maxie Williams.

 

Surviving are her daughters, Sheryl K. Barlow (Joe) of Deltaville, VA, Patricia K. Hall (Richard) of Asheboro, Jane Kluttz of Danville, VA; son, James C. Eller (Susan) of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren, Shae Glenn, Amy Charette, Steve Hall, Mike Hall, Andrew Hall, Riley Eller, Hunter Barlow; four great-grandchildren; and very special niece and nephews, Graham White (Bonnie), Terri Williams and Larry Williams (Pamela).

 

The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the service.
