F. Jack Craven

FRANKLINVILLE — F. Jack Craven, 92, of Franklinville was born on Aug. 21, 1930, and passed away April 10, 2023 at his residence.

The funeral services was on April 13 at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur, with Rev. Terry Giles officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Seagrove.

Craven was born in Greenville, SC, and was a longtime resident of Randolph County. He was a retired supervisor with a poultry company and a 15-year member of the Franklinville Fire Department. Jack was a member of Franklinville Wesleyan Church. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dot Moffitt Craven; parents, John A. and Myrtie Stout Craven; siblings, Resal Craven, Ada Ruth Weatherly, John Edward Craven, William Craven, Sidney Craven, Kermit Craven and Don Craven.

Survivors include sons, David J. Craven and wife Pamela Whitaker of Liberty, Reid Craven and wife Betsy of Ramseur, Ricky M. Craven and wife Betsy of Burlington; grandchildren, Jonathan Craven and wife Heather of Liberty, Austin Craven and wife Casey Taylor of Greensboro; great-grandchildren, Alice and George Craven.
