Donald Nelson "Don" Routh,

RANDLEMAN — Donald Nelson "Don" Routh, 71, of Randleman died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. 

Memorial Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, Franklinville, with Rev. Lynn Chaney and Rev. Bobby Chaney officiating.

Don was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County, was retired from Energizer, and was a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a hard worker, had an excellent sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Don loved his dogs, "Sam" and "Little Bit.”

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jimmie and Marty Nelson Harris. 

Survivors are son, Eugene Routh of Asheboro; step-mother, Emma Routh of Grays Chapel; sisters, Terri Ernst of Jefferson, Cindy Rich and husband Keith of Randleman; brothers, Michael Routh and wife Sonja of Liberty, Jed Routh and wife Lisa of Grays Chapel; grandchildren, David Edward Routh of Everett, WA, Andrew James Routh of Pleasant Garden, Dennis Elizah Routh of Everett, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
