ASHEBORO — The Randolph County Veterans Services is hosting an upcoming Veterans Stand Down Resource Fair, an event dedicated to providing essential services and support to veterans and their families.
The fair will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Randolph County Agricultural Center, 1880 US Highway 64 East, Asheboro.
Aimed at addressing the diverse needs of veterans, the resource fair will offer a wide array of services, including:
■ Healthcare screenings.
■ Employment assistance.
■ Housing resources.
■ Legal advice.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with more than 50 organizations committed to supporting veterans to meet their needs.

Several partners are helping to coordinate and sponsor the event, including A Heart for Heroes, NC Works Career Center-Randolph and Randolph Community College.
“The Veterans Stand Down Resource Fair is a vital initiative to ensure our veterans receive the support they deserve,” said Elizabeth Wood, Director of the Randolph County Veterans Services. “We are committed to honoring their service by providing comprehensive resources to help them thrive in their communities.”
The event is free and open to all veterans and their families. Organizers are planning to offer transportation services to ensure accessibility for all who wish to attend.
