2024 set up to be a big year for NC Zoo

The cover guide of this year’s official travel guide for Randolph County says it all.  

The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro will celebrate its 50th year, having been started in 1974. 

The extra visitors the promotion of that fact brings in should give other tourism attractions in the area a boost as well.

On the cover of the book, created by Manor House Creative, is Zoo elephant Louie. 

Already, the two Visitors Centers on I-73/74 received more than 105,000 visitors this year, far more than in any other previous year.
