Sheriff’s Office invites residents to take part in a ‘Walk With a Cop’

ASHEBORO — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with Randolph County Wellness to bring “Walk With a Cop” to Asheboro at the Randolph County Office Building.

The first event will happen on Wednesday July 8, at 9:30 a.m. at the Randolph County government building at 725 McDowell Road in Asheboro.

The event offers an opportunity to get outside, enjoy some fresh air and have a casual conversation with members of the Sheriff’s Office while taking a walk.

Whether participants want to ask questions, learn more about the agency or simply get some exercise, the public is invited to join in.

Coffee will be provided, too.

No speeches. No agendas. Just a walk and a chance to connect.

It’s an easy walk, too, taking place on the new concrete path around the Randolph County Government Office Building.

Then on July 10, members of the public can gather at the Ramseur Public Library at 1 p.m. for a monthly walk there.

The library is located at 1512 Main Street in Ramseur.
