‘Play On!’ begins Feb. 2, plays on for two weekends

What has these people simultaneously affronted, aghast, appalled, annoyed, acrimonious and apathetic?

No, it wasn’t the Dallas Cowboys losing at home in the first round of the NFL playoffs — again. These local folks are actors in the upcoming RSVP play called ‘Play On!’ The production begins next weekend, so you’ll soon have the opportunity to find out the impetus behind this scene.

“Play On!” is Rick Abbot’s frenetic farce about a play in which, in the end, everything goes wrong as a theatre group tried to put on a play with an author who’s constantly changing it as it goes.

Performances will be at the Sunset Theatre for two weekends, Friday-Sunday, Feb. 2-4 and again Friday-Sunday, Feb. 9-11. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for Seniors, Youth and Military.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

You can purchase tickets online at https://www.tickettailor.com/events/rsvpcommunitytheatre or locally at Brightside Gallery, 170 Worth Street, Asheboro, by cash or check only, between the hours of 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
