Gladden, co-founder of the Russ Murphy Camps, said, “We gather on Feb. 13 this year to celebrate love in its truest form — not just romantic love but the love that lifts others, the love that invests in our future, and the love that strengthens our community.
“This celebration is about believing in our students, in their dreams, and in the power of education to open doors. Every scholarship represented here is an act of love — a message to a young person that says, ‘You matter, your future matters, and your community believes in you.’ ...
“Thank you for sharing your hearts, your support, and your commitment to building a stronger, more connected community. Together, we are proving that love — when shared — can change lives.”
Last year the Russ Murphy Camps surpassed the $30,000 mark in scholarships given to students. The goal this year is $40,000.
