Documentary illustrates issues veterans face after active duty

FARMER — A documentary film making its way through North Carolina will have three local showings over the next few weeks.

 

“The Veteran’s Battlefield: A Story of North Carolina’s Veterans” is a documentary that focuses on life after active duty and the issues and challenges facing veterans returning home to pick up where life left off.

 

There will be three showings in Randolph County:

- Sunset Theatre, Asheboro, Sunday, Jan. 28, 3 p.m.

- Liberty Public Library, Saturday, Feb. 3, 1 p.m.

- Archdale Public Library, Tuesday, Feb. 6, 6:30 p.m.

 

After each screening, a panel discussion will be held related to the material and local veterans’ issues. The Randolph County NC Veterans Services Office will play a role in the event.
