Randolph County has scheduled a dedication for the Charters of Freedom behind the county court-house on 147 Worth St. for Veterans Day, Nov. 11. There will be a ribbon cutting and a time capsule ceremony.
ASHEBORO — Randolph County and Foundation Forward, Inc. have partnered to bring the Charters of Freedom to the community and on Veterans Day, the county will celebrate the finished product.
A ribbon cutting and Time Capsule Ceremony will be held on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, at 2 p.m. at 147 Worth St., Asheboro.
The Charters of Freedom setting honors the foundational documents of freedom (Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Civil Rights Act) and the community’s shared history.
Holding the ceremony on Veterans Day places the dedication within a National Day of Remembrance and respect for those who have served.
The America 250 NC Randolph Committee has been planning the event as part of Revolutionary Randolph as these historical documents align with the celebration of America’s 250th Independence Anniversary.
Rudy Rich with Dal K. Rich & Son, Inc. will also be recognized for donating the brick for the Charters of Freedom setting.
Randolph Electric Membership Corporation is sponsoring this event.
