Cast chosen for RSVP production of ‘Play On!’

ASHEBORO — RSVP Community Theatre’a cast is set for the uproarious comedy “Play On” by Rick Abbot, which will hit the Sunset Theatre stage this February.

Directed by Jordan Willis, “Play On” is a delightful play-within-a-play that follows the antics of a small-town community theater group as they attempt to produce a murder mystery. However, as the cast navigates through forgotten lines, missed cues, personal rivalries and a meddling playwright who just can’t stop changing the story, chaos ensues, leading to side-splitting comedy and unexpected twists and turns.

The cast includes:

Chris Scott as Algernon Manville (Stage Manager).

JeriLynn Roblee as Gerry Dunbar (Director).

Philip Schuyler as Henry Benish (A Character Actor).

Emily Williamson as Polly Benish (A Character Actress).

Zoe Glover as Marty “Smitty” Smith (A Supporting Player).

Travis Walsh as Saul Watson (A Villain).

Brandon Almazan as Billy Carewe (A Juvenile).

JB Griffith III as Louis Peary (A Tech Wizard).

Peggy Kilburn as Phyliss Montague (Playwright)

Bethany Kidd as Violet Imbrey (An Ingenue).
