Welcome!

PettyBreakers only got two songs in before the stormy weather forced a cancelation of the concert.   Eric Abernathy/Randolph Hub

They tried, but the rain wasn’t having it

Friday night’s Rock’n The Park concert, featuring country music star Caeland Garner from Coleridge and the PettyBreakers, a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band, was eventually canceled due to stormy weather.

Garner got started at 6 p.m., but then was delayed 30 minutes by lightning. He eventually finished a shortened session before another delay during which organizers forced people to leave the park and wait in their cars for their safety.

At 8:25, the concert was declared a go for 8:30, but two songs in, another delay forced the event to be canceled altogether.

Next up is an Eagles Tribute band called On The Border on Aug. 11. Someone let the weatherman know.
