Miss Randolph County, Teen pageants Saturday night

ASHEBORO — The Kiwanis Club of Asheboro presents the Miss Randolph County and Miss Randolph County’s Teen Scholarship Competition on Saturday, Oct. 14.

The competitions are part of the Miss America Organization, and a preliminary to the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Competition.

The event will take place at Randleman Elementary School beginning at 6 p.m. Delegates will compete in categories of Private Interview, Health and Fitness, Talent, Red Carpet/Evening Gown, and On-Stage Interview/Conversation. The latter gives them an opportunity to express their interests in social, community service or vocational matters.

Admission at the door is $10; children under 6 get in free.

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the winner of the Miss and $500 to the winner of Teen by the Kiwanis Club, along with other monetary and gift items from sponsors.

The 2024 Miss Randolph County Competition winners will represent Randolph County in the Miss North Carolina and Miss North Carolina’s Teen Competitions in June 2024.
