Randolph Health adds new 24/7 pulmonology program

ASHEBORO — Randolph Health is proud to announce the strategic development of a comprehensive, 24/7 Pulmonology Program and Critical Care Medicine Service, marking a significant advancement in the specialized medical care available to our community. 

Leading the vital initiative is Siva Marri, M.D., board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine.

By launching this program, Randolph Health expands its inpatient capabilities to provide high-level critical care to patients in Randolph County.

Marri brings a depth of clinical expertise, leadership and academic experience to Randolph Health. He previously served as the Director of Bronchoscopy and Respiratory Therapy for Providence Medical Group South and currently holds an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. His extensive background spans advanced critical care management in Level 2 Trauma Centers, complex ventilator management and cutting-edge pulmonary interventions.

Spiegel, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer of Randolph Health. “Under Dr. Marri’s leadership, patients will benefit from a higher level of clinical sophistication, ensuring continuity of care for our most vulnerable patients without the need for unnecessary transfers.”

Marri’s clinical proficiencies include advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as Endobronchial Ultrasound-guided biopsies (EBUS), robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheotomies, and endobronchial valve placement. His leadership will not only enhance bedside care but will also focus on training, protocol development, and fostering collaboration across our multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Marri completed his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Louisiana State University HSC, where he also served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He is an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
