ASHEBORO — There’s a new business in town but it’s really three ventures in one place.
The three-sided sign at 118 Sunset Ave. will soon feature Canopy Event Center in the middle flanked by CoreAi Media and The Boro Podcast Studio.
CoreAi Media is a full-service media company and marketing agency specializing in professional video production, paid advertising and white-glove social media management for local businesses.
The company helps businesses grow their online presence through high-quality content creation, strategic advertising campaigns and hands-on account management.
The office is also home to The Boro Podcast Studio, a fully-equipped podcast space available for rent with complete production services, making it easy for businesses, creators and organizations to produce professional podcasts.
CoreAi Media is owned by Jonathan Robbins, Christian O’Briant and Curt O’Briant who are dedicated to helping local businesses and the surrounding community gain greater visibility.
Jonathan is a four-time Emmy Award-winning producer/editor/videographer. Christian and Curt have been local business owners for the last decade.
The studio serves as the headquarters for The Boro Buzz Podcast, which highlights local businesses, entrepreneurs, community leaders and inspiring individuals making a difference.
It also produces Sports in the Boro, a podcast focused on showcasing local student-athletes and their accomplishments. The podcast provides student-athletes with valuable exposure that can help connect them with college coaches and recruiting opportunities.
“I’m the creative one and Christian is the brains,” said Robbins, host of The Boro Buzz video podcast which came online in February of this year.
During the taping of a podcast on July 30 by his co-host Scott Faglier, Robbins stepped out of the broadcast booth and said, “We wanted high-quality videos for Randolph County sports. We needed a headquarters for the videos, editing and broadcast, and to control the environment. And we wanted to be downtown.”
Soon CoreAi Media will have an editing room filled with electronic devices. It just made sense to use the space for more than just The Boro Buzz. So CoreAi Media will rent the equipment to others who may want to produce their own podcasts or videos. Robbins and O’Briant can assist them in the productions.
Through storytelling, digital marketing and media production, CoreAi Media aims to strengthen the local business community while giving individuals and organizations a platform to share their stories.
By combining creative content, strategic marketing and community-focused programming, CoreAi Media has become a unique hub for business growth and local engagement in the region.
While podcasts and commercials are being produced now, coming this fall, Canopy Event Center will be available for rent inside the same space with a capacity of up to 50 people. It’ll be available for corporate events, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, and more.
Robbins is a 2012 Asheboro High School graduate while O’Briant received his diploma in 2014. Robbins left Asheboro and found a career in TV sports, working for Raycom Sports, the Carolina Panthers and the WWE. His production expertise earned him the four Emmys.
“I came back to Asheboro and I missed sports,” he said. “Christian pushed me, along with Curt, to start CoreAi Media.”
That led to The Boro Buzz, the podcast that allows “people to come on telling their stories and their passion.”
On July 30, The Boro Buzz hosted Calvin Brown, head football coach at AHS. Following Coach Brown were recent Southwestern Randolph High School graduates and star athletes Maddie Strider and Brady Armfield. Strider will be playing softball at Catawba College and Armfield is going to Belmont Abbey to play baseball.
During the high school football season, The Boro Buzz will host coaches and players each week in what’s called “4th and Won.”
