Dollar Tree coming to North Fayetteville Street

ASHEBORO — A standalone Dollar Tree will soon be under construction in Asheboro.

The store will be built at 1004 N. Fayetteville St., between Kings Corner and Easy Clean Car Wash. The 1.85-acre lot has been cleared and is being prepared for construction.

The owner is Farmer & Associates of Mobile, Alabama. Murray Farmer said he will build the approximately 10,000-square-foot store and lease it to Dollar Tree. He expects the store to be ready for occupancy in about four months.

Farmer said he’s built more than 100 Dollar Tree stores.

According to the Dollar Tree website, their stores offer “housewares, glassware, dinnerware, cleaning supplies, candy, snacks, food, health and beauty, toys, gifts, gift bags and wrap, party supplies, stationery, craft supplies, teaching supplies, books, seasonal décor, and so much more. We have everything you need for every day, every holiday, and every occasion — all at extreme values and with NEW items arriving every week!”

There are currently three Dollar Trees in Randolph County, including at the Walmart shopping center in Asheboro, 652 W. Academy St. in Randleman, and 310 W. Swannanoa Ave. in Liberty. The Dollar Tree company also owns Family Dollar stores.
