Centennial Celebration marks 100 years for chamber

ASHEBORO — One hundred years of connecting businesses, strengthening communities and championing economic growth will be celebrated on Oct. 15 when the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce hosts its Centennial Celebration at AVS Banquet Center on Fayetteville St. 

The ticket-only event will bring together chamber members, business leaders, community partners and friends of the organization to celebrate a remarkable milestone — while also looking ahead to the next century of service to Asheboro and Randolph County.

The chamber is partnering with Randolph County and the City of Asheboro to present the event.

“This is an opportunity to celebrate where we have come from, recognize the people and organizations who have helped shape our community and look confidently toward the future,” said Adam Deathe, President and CEO of the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce. 

“The chamber has been part of the fabric of this community for 100 years. Our Centennial is not simply about looking back — it is about celebrating what comes next.”

An evening of celebration and entertainment

The Centennial Celebration will feature an entertaining presentation by nationally recognized comedian and speaker Rik Roberts, whose unique blend of humor and motivational storytelling will provide an engaging highlight of the evening.

The event will also provide an opportunity to recognize the businesses and organizations that have supported the chamber and the community throughout its history.

Businesses interested in playing a larger role in the Centennial Celebration can become Centennial Partners. Partnership opportunities provide businesses with enhanced recognition during the Centennial campaign and the opportunity to become part of the chamber’s permanent Centennial Partner Wall, which will be installed at the Chamber following the celebration.

The Centennial Campaign is seeking 100 partners as part of the chamber’s goal of celebrating its first century while helping build the foundation for its next. Centennial Partners will support not only the Centennial Celebration but also initiatives including Leadership Randolph, Student LIFT and Chamber Foundation initiatives.

Win a French Riviera trip

The Centennial Celebration will also feature the French Riviera Explorer Reverse Raffle, with just 250 raffle tickets available for $100 each.

The grand prize is a trip for two to Nice, France, in 2027, with a cash alternative of $6,000. The French Riviera itinerary includes seven nights in Nice and excursions to destinations including St. Paul-de-Vence, Eze, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Monaco, Antibes and Cannes.

All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Chamber Foundation.
