Apprenticeship Randolph: 2024 recruitment time is here

ASHEBORO — Are you a high school junior or senior living and/or learning in Randolph County?

Do you want to get a jumpstart on a career in our booming local industries in manufacturing or Information Technology?

Apprenticeship Randolph (AR) is beginning its recruitment for 2024 apprentices.

In this program, students can maximize their earning potential, gain valuable skills and job experience through on-the-job training, and earn an Associate of Applied Science degree from Randolph Community College at no cost to the student.

AR begins with a six-week, pre-apprenticeship summer program that consists of RCC classes and 40 hours per week of on-the-job training.

Once a business selects its apprentice after this trial period, the program is spread over three years with students receiving paid, on-the-job training while earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Manufacturing Technology or Information Technology through RCC. Apprentices will also earn a Journeyworker Certificate from the N.C. Community College System and U.S. Department of Labor.
